  • Improved

    Measurement safeguards and outcome tracking

Added safeguards around every number a recommendation is built from, and began recording how water chemistry responds after a treatment is applied.

    What changed
    • Lab values outside a physically plausible range are now caught at entry instead of flowing into a recommendation.
    • Field acreage and reservoir volumes are bounds-checked, so a data-entry error cannot scale a dose.
    • Application rates are normalized to one consistent unit, so results can be compared across sites.
    • Every recommendation now stores the exact threshold settings used to produce it, so it can be reviewed later exactly as it was issued.
    • Recommendations a reviewer has rejected are no longer visible to growers.

go public — drop prototype labeling, index in production, add GEO/LLM discovery

  • New

    Review, edit & approve recommendations

Recommendations now move through a clear review workflow: a PCA can edit the draft, add agronomist notes, and approve it before anything reaches the grower — so every recommendation is signed off by a person.

    What changed
    • A distinct draft → approved → delivered lifecycle.
    • Edit the recommendation and add agronomist notes that travel with it.
    • Growers only ever see approved recommendations.
  • New

    Deliver a grower-ready PDF report

Approved recommendations can be delivered to the grower and downloaded as a clean, professional PDF — diagnosis, dosage, confidence, supporting analysis, and agronomist notes on a single page.

  • New

    Weather-aware agronomic context

HydroOS now pulls daily weather for each site and layers in environmental context — reference evapotranspiration, growing-degree-days, and heat-stress signals — alongside the water-chemistry guidance.

  • New

Tune the guidance to your operation

Set your own agronomic thresholds — bicarbonate, pH, salinity, hardness and more — as per-organization overrides on the science-based defaults, so the guidance matches how you manage your water.

  • Improved

    Richer field & lab inputs

Capture more of what drives the guidance — irrigation system, crop, soil texture, and water hardness — directly in the field and lab entry forms.

  • New

    Golden Mussel response-readiness

When a Golden Mussel threat is detected, water districts can capture a compliance-reviewed situational-awareness note on response readiness. Situational awareness only — GoldenpHlo remains in development and is not registered.

v0.7

Enterprise plans and the Integration API — a documented REST API for your data.

Jul 1, 2026
  • New

    Developer documentation & OpenAPI spec

Published full developer documentation for the Integration API, generated from a machine-readable OpenAPI 3.1 specification — so Enterprise teams can explore every endpoint and generate their own client code.

    What changed
    • A published OpenAPI 3.1 specification for the whole API.
    • Browsable developer docs covering every endpoint, gated to Enterprise.
    • Generate typed API clients directly from the spec.
  • New

    Device data ingestion & webhooks

The Integration API can now receive data, not just serve it — post device and sensor readings straight into HydroOS, and subscribe to signed webhooks to be notified as events happen.

    What changed
    • Send readings to HydroOS from your own devices and systems.
    • Idempotent writes, so a retried send never double-records a reading.
    • Signed webhooks notify your systems when new data arrives.
  • New

    Enterprise Integration API

Launched the Enterprise Integration API — a versioned REST API that lets Enterprise accounts read their HydroOS data programmatically, secured with per-organization API keys.

    What changed
    • Versioned /api/v1 read endpoints for your organization’s data.
    • Per-organization API keys with scoped access.
    • Available on the Enterprise plan.
  • New

Platform admin console & plan management

Added a platform-admin console for provisioning organizations, assigning plans, and seeing which modules each account has switched on.

    What changed
    • Provision organizations and assign subscription plans.
    • See every account’s active modules and entitlements at a glance.
  • New

    Subscription tiers & per-organization entitlements

Introduced subscription tiers and per-organization module entitlements — each account now sees exactly the modules its plan includes, resolved through one central organization context.

    What changed
    • Plan tiers with per-organization module entitlements.
    • A shared organization-context resolver every module reads from.
  • Improved

    Faster, stable API pagination

Moved the Integration API to true keyset pagination, so reads stay fast and consistent even as your data grows and new records arrive mid-page.

  • Improved

    Kept the API docs honest

Hardened the automated check that keeps the published OpenAPI spec in lockstep with the live API, so the developer docs never drift from what the API actually does.

  • Improved

Integration API — the full picture

Rounded out the release notes for the Enterprise Integration API so the whole arc is documented in one place — API keys, read endpoints, device ingest, and signed webhooks.

Built the automation engine that runs HydroOS on a schedule — deriving notifications, threshold alerts, and analytics from your data without anyone lifting a finger.

    What changed
    • Scheduled jobs derive alerts and trends automatically from new readings.
    • The heartbeat behind Notifications, Trends, and Application Scheduling.
  • New

Trial results — treated vs. control

Completed the Trials lifecycle and surfaced treated-versus-control outcomes, so a finished trial reads as clear, side-by-side evidence for growers and regulators.

    What changed
    • Full trial lifecycle from setup through conclusion.
    • Treated-vs-control results surfaced on the trial and its validation report.
  • New

    Golden-Mussel monitoring, completed

  • New

    Field-validation deck template

Added a reusable, password-gated field-validation deck for sharing before/after results with a client.

  • Fixed

    Correct link-preview icon

Fixed link previews and the favicon to use the HydroOS brand mark instead of a placeholder.

  • Improved

    Turnkey deploy tooling

Automated database migrations on deploy and added a storage connectivity check, so releases ship with fewer manual steps.

  • Fixed

    Live login fix

Fixed a database-connection issue that prevented some users from logging in on the live site.

  • New

    Investor pitch deck

    Added a password-gated /pitch investor deck — a self-contained, keyboard-driven presentation with access tracking.

  • Improved

    Container hosting path

Added an optional Docker-based hosting path and fixed a lockfile issue that blocked installs on Linux.

  • Improved

    One-command image deploys

Published a prebuilt container image so the platform can be deployed by pulling an image instead of building on the server.

  • Fixed

    Image build fix

Fixed the container image build so automated image publishing succeeds.

  • Improved

Private document storage & security hardening

Added private cloud storage for documents and raised the security floor across authentication and data handling ahead of launch.

  • New

    The /releases changelog

Launched this public releases page — a customer-facing changelog that updates on every release, so you can see how fast HydroOS is moving.

  • Improved

    Groundwork for three new modules

Extended the platform foundation so Trends, Notifications, and Application Scheduling could be built in parallel.

  • New

    Notifications module

Released Notifications — automatic alerts derived from your own data, so nothing important slips by.

    What changed
    • Alerts for open threshold breaches, trial milestones, and overdue applications.
    • Per-user preferences and an unread count.
  • New

    Trends & Analytics module

Released Trends — a read-only analytics dashboard that charts your water chemistry and activity over time against a rolling 90-day baseline.

    What changed
    • Time-series trends for readings and measurements versus a rolling baseline.
    • Same-timestamp samples are collapsed so trial arms aren't double-counted.
  • New

    Application Scheduling module

Released Application Scheduling — plan dosing applications on a cadence, log each one as it's applied, and track adherence.

    What changed
    • A plan → applied → adherence loop with overdue tracking.
    • Adherence measured as planned versus applied.
  • Improved

    Notifications: milestones & audit trail

Notifications now fire on trial milestones, show an unread count, and record an audit entry on every state change.

  • Improved

Trends now folds in recommendations, alerts, and application adherence for a complete activity picture across modules.

  • Improved

    New instrument-grade type system

Refreshed the product and site typography to the Geist / Geist Mono type system for a cleaner, more clinical read.

  • New

    Log in from anywhere

Added a visible “Log in” entry point across the marketing site, with a smart redirect that sends you straight to your dashboard.

  • Fixed

    Production loading fix

Fixed a deploy-time error that could stop the live site from loading.

v0.4

Smarter WaterpHlo guidance.

Jun 21, 2026
  • New

    Smarter WaterpHlo recommendations

Deepened the WaterpHlo recommendation engine (v1.1) with new water-hardness and TDS rules and clearer dose math — sharper guidance, still fully transparent, still no black-box ML.

    What changed
    • Added hardness and TDS rules alongside bicarbonate, pH, SAR, and RSC.
    • Every recommendation still shows its exact metric, value, and threshold.
  • Fixed

    Sturdier detail pages

Fixed detail pages so a mistyped or malformed link now returns a clean “not found” instead of an error.

v0.3

A vendor-neutral data layer and a richer demo.

Jun 21, 2026
  • Improved

    Vendor-neutral database

Moved the platform onto standard PostgreSQL so it runs on any host — Supabase, RDS, Railway, or self-hosted — with no vendor lock-in.

  • Fixed

    Dashboard layout fix

Fixed a styling issue that left the dashboard cramped — spacing and typography now render correctly.

  • Improved

    Richer demo environment

Expanded the in-app demo into a four-organization world, each showcasing a different capability — high-bicarbonate agronomy, a salinity hazard, a live trial, and district monitoring.

v0.2

The secure, multi-tenant platform foundation.

Jun 20, 2026 – Jun 21, 2026
  • New

    Agronomy module

Released Agronomy — WaterpHlo guidance that turns a water test into specific, transparent treatment recommendations and a shareable quote.

    What changed
    • Rule-based recommendations from your water chemistry — every trigger shows its metric, value, and threshold.
    • Turn a recommendation into a treatment quote.
  • New

    Trial / Validation module

Released Trials — run side-by-side field trials and generate grower- and regulator-ready validation reports.

    What changed
    • Side-by-side trial workflow with treated and untreated arms.
    • One-click validation reports for growers and regulators.
  • New

    Water-Threat monitoring (beta)

Released Water-Threat monitoring (beta) — watch Golden Mussel risk and water-chemistry thresholds across district sites, with compliance-ready alerts.

    What changed
    • Threshold monitoring for pH, EC/salinity, and bicarbonate spikes.
    • Golden-Mussel settlement-risk signals per site.
    • Compliance-ready threat and alert records.
  • New

    Secure platform foundation

Stood up the secure, multi-tenant platform every module runs on — isolated data per organization, role-based access, and sign-in.

    What changed
    • Each organization's data is fully isolated from every other.
    • Role-based access for growers, PCAs, distributors, and district staff.
    • Email-and-password and magic-link sign-in.

v0.1

Public launch — the Golden Mussel briefing goes live.

Jun 20, 2026
  • Research

    Water-quality research library

Published a 15-article research library on the Golden Mussel crisis, irrigation water chemistry, and the economics of treatment — plain-language briefings for districts and growers.

  • New

    Public HydroOS site

Launched the public site: a Golden Mussel crisis briefing with dedicated paths for water districts and for growers.

  • New
